About The Book

Pencil and Pen are best friends who live together in a pencil case, but they often clash because Pencil likes to plan carefully while Pen loves to splash bold colors everywhere. One day, while arguing over a drawing, they accidentally knock over a paint jar, creating a magical rainbow whirlpool that pulls them into Artland—a place filled with watercolor skies, paintbrush trees, and glittering grass. There, they meet Brushy, a talking paintbrush who explains that Artland is losing its color, music, and life because creativity has faded.

To restore Artland, Pencil and Pen must learn to work together. Through different challenges—mixing colors to wake rainbow birds, writing music in the mountains, and building a crafty bridge—they combine Pencil’s careful planning with Pen’s vibrant energy. As they cooperate, Artland becomes bright and lively again. After finishing their final masterpiece, they return home with a new understanding: art is better when they create it together.

Book Presentation At

Savannah Legacy Academy

I had the amazing opportunity to visit Savannah Legacy Academy to present my children’s book, Pencil and Pen. During the visit, I shared the story’s message about creativity, teamwork, and how our differences can come together to make something beautiful.

The students were fully engaged — we talked about art, imagination, and the power of storytelling. I also showed them some of my artwork and explained how my characters come to life through my brush and ideas. It was a fun, interactive session filled with questions, laughter, and inspiration.

The goal was to encourage the kids to explore their own creativity and remind them that everyone has a unique way to express themselves — whether through writing, drawing, or simply dreaming big.
